How to install psybnc on shell

The easiest way how to install psybnc is to use this package

wget http://www.psybnc.net/psyBNC-2.3.2-7.tar.gz

tar -zxvf psyBNC-2.3.2-7.tar.gz

cd psybnc

make

nano psybnc.conf

( edit port ; save psybnc.conf )

./psybnc

I was able to install, v 2.3.9, make menuconfig does not work, so I used just "make", once compiled it worked, listening on port 31337, but when i connect with mirc it disconnects immediatey, and have to restart process, tried both ssl and plain text connection, still no go.

Followed the tutorial asl well (https://www.xshellz.com/community/tutorials/39/How-to-install-psybnc-on-shell), same result (tutorial is on an older version, guess ths should not create issues), tried the auto deploy package (https://www.xshellz.com/package/StephenS/psybnc), it does not work either.

Maybe tutorials are not updated ? Maybe script and auto deploy has to be fixed ?

Any help is welcome, thx.

If you are using version 2.3.2-7 it should work as we have tested against that one.
