How can I install a program to the shell? / xShellz

I don't have sudo, so I can't run apt-get. How can I install a program?

you wont get root rights. this is not a vps, just a shell. :)

open a ticket though and ask the admins, they might install a package for you (if you have a pretty good reason for it)

You may install programs locally on your home dir by using .tar.gz files and building them manually. But you won't be able to use apt-get.
